Phuket Vegetarian (Vegan) Festival 2007 images: Mutilation Parade
Following are a few pics of the Sunday parade several days into the Vegan festivities– finally get to see all that famous mutilation Phuket is famed for. Heard it’s all real blood and balls…seen a tid bid last year during the evening time…but today’s sky is clear with bright sunlight to see it all clearly.

Late Sunday morning as spectators gather downtown Phuket in anticipation for the Possessed devotees on their way

And here they come in traditional Chinese costume. There doesn’t seem to be anything horrid for the eyes here… but wait…in the distance, is that what it looks like??? By clicking to see the rest of this entry, be warned and prepared for blood and mutilation!

Blood and sharp objects…Mutilation! Here those psychos come as the fire crackers cease and everyone looks on…it’s too grusome to believe, so unbelievable, yet so real… look at all that blood–axes, daggers, swords, and knifes! What are they trying to prove?! Me thinks their deluded from meat deprivation!

Who wants to mess with these kids on a bad day? Not I said the Goose.

After all that blood and mutilation, it’s not so hard to indulge in a non-meat dish…a nice bowl of Phuket Hokian style noodles, prepared vegan style for the festivities. Lots of chilli and sugar ought to be the perfect substitute for meat!
