In with the times?
So I’ve finally decided to give in and advance from my static html web logging habits, joining the greater dynamic blog universe–so it may seem. I’ve jumped on the bandwagon, installing and implementing wordpress software into Green Skale Studios website–as you may have figured out.
Just so you know, I’m no newbie to Online Journaling, Web Logging, Cyber publishing, or whatever you wish to call it. My home page (link above) has officially been online since February 2006, prior to which I was publishing my thoughts, poems, lyrics, and travel email archives on a free hosted Tripod site since 2002.
Before that, I’ve kept and maintained journaling (with a pen in an actual journal) habits since the age of 14, backing me with a hearty decade of publicly accessible written passion for lingual exploration and expression. Please do visit the Siamerican Wanderer’s Cyber Archives to browse and indulge in the last 5 years of my cyber ink prorogation.
The question lingers… Will the brilliant and much-relied on programming of one of the internet’s biggest blog brands, Wordpress, prove worthy in attracting larger masses of reliable and propagating traffic to my self-hosted domain name? That was the idea anyway. After some research, I’ve been convinced that Word Press is an ideal, well known network to help me catch up with the IT networking times, at least if I expect to gain exposure sufficient enough to become self sufficient.
No ambitions here to get rich, but surely if I am to continue throughout the upcoming decades of Cyber Geography as a self sufficient cyber citizen, than the site needs to pay for itself–otherwise why not host free? Considering that I’ve been paying hosting for one and a half years, and the fact that I’ve only accumulated less than eleven dollars of adsense click traffic (which at my previous rate, wouldn’t be accessible for atleast another 10 years) , it’s time to let my thoughts and words experience their full potential…
