Help a blogger out and...

I have relocated down to the tropical paradise, Phuket a few months ago. My son turned a year old last month and is growing strong and healthy to make his parents and relatives proud. I continue to gradually update and advance my music, writing, and other creative arts as life-long hobbies and passion. I continue to freelance for Nation Junior magazine, responsible for several columns and audio mpeg E-book voicing-recordings. My ambition and objective to return to Bangkok University by early next year is still on the horizon. On return, I will have a little over two full years to complete my degree.
The last year of teaching in Samut Songkhram (and the last 4-5 years teaching all over central Thailand) was memorable and beneficial, but here in Phuket I intend to take a break from teaching-as to focus on other types of work. I accepted a position as an Editor/Writer for a local tour-travel booklet-magazine called Phuket Day and Night. I'll officially start come next week. My background with Nation Junior, and my dual national status played a big part in securing the position, which may prove to be an exciting gig. So yea, I'm legally and officially Thai now. Not to say that I wasn't Thai before, just that now, I'm official with the house registration and ID card (no more begging for visas or messing around with local immigration / worrying about work permits, etc.yay!) I'm still American-never stopped being, but actually probably more American here than I ever was back there in that such titles only hold value and meaning when contrasted and relative to other reference points.if that makes any sense. If not, hit me up and I'd be more than happy to get into a virtue and/or legal debate of the subject. I would love to hear from everyone on their own destined, fated, and/or chosen paths in life so don't be a stranger!
