Sponsorship Proposal

My name is Marko Cunningham. I am a dual New Zealand/British Citizen living in Bangkok. I have been a volunteer for the Ruamkatanyu Foundation (NGO) in Thailand for 6 years now. All the work I do is for free, I receive absolutely no remuneration from anyone. Monthly costs for me are about 15000 baht and I have invested in my car/equipment over 600,000 baht so far. Financially it is becoming increasingly difficult to run my ambulance by myself and so now I am asking for assistance.

What I do

• Operate my own free ambulance service including purchase, medical and rescue equipment, maintenance and petrol. Weekly attending on average 20 accidents in the central Bangkok area, some of which are foreigners.
• Assist in body care and collection (particularly foreigners) and assist families in translations and body collection processes in their time of grieving. I helped take care of over 2000 bodies during the Tsunami aftermath for 2 weeks for which I received a medal from the Thai government.
• Assist the police with translations, ID, and anything to do with foreigners.
• All areas of rescue work including fire, floods, rescue, and relief supplies for victims of natural disasters and/or poor areas of Thailand (including hill tribes)
• Teach first aid to advanced first aid to Ruamkatanyu and other groups, universities, Scouts, etc, throughout Thailand.
• Search for International/Thai sponsors for Ruamkatanyu or myself
• English speaking representative to the press for Ruamkatanyu. I have been on TV interviews in Thailand and several overseas stations, newspapers, magazines, documentaries (Discovery Channel), etc.
• Host for foreign guests (Italian representative to the UN, foreign paramedics, Sponsors, dignitaries, journalists, etc.)
• All English documentation for Ruamkatanyu, translations or documents, videos, etc.
• Teach English to members of Ruamkatanyu and work a full time job at Srivikorn Business School in Ekamai (40 hr/week)
• Studying to be a Paramedic.
• Member of the General Chootichai Foundations’ Thailand Dog Rescue Association (TRDA) and I am a trained dog handler.
• Member of the Narenthorn Ambulance Service (Government organization).
• Member of the Foreign Correspondence Club (Thailand). 

What I’m looking for

• Sponsorship to cover all or part thereof the 15000 baht running costs/month.
